On June 5, 1875, during the 39th Annual Communication of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas held at the City of Houston, the Committee on Petitions offered the following report on the surrender and first restoration of the Charter of Cibolo Masonic Lodge No. 151: "Your Committee on Petitions beg leave to submit the following report: We have examined the petition for the restoration of the Charter, jewels, furniture, etc., of Cibolo Lodge No. 151, and that their place of meeting be changed from Valley post office, in Guadalupe County, to Selma, in Bexar County. This Lodge surrendered its charter during the war in consequence of most of the members being absent in the army. The petitioners have erected a good and secure hall at Selma, eight miles from Valley, the place of the old Lodge, and sixteen miles from Alamo Lodge, No. 44, at San Antonio, the nearest Lodge. We recommend that the prayer be granted, and that the District Deputy Grand Master be authorized to change the name in Charter to the one prayed for in petition.
